Comment PLAN. Because I really want you to have on Comment PLAN. Because I really want you to have one. Get 5 free mini workouts and a taste of the Core Restore program. Live classes start Tuesday July 7 at 2 pm ET online!

I see you saving random workouts off Instagram, DIYing your diastasis rehab.

And I say this next part with love: this strategy is not going to give you the results you want.

There is so much to say on this topic. Everyone seems to have an opinion. And even the PhDs and physio researchers struggle to find a consensus on what works best for diastasis rehab.

I've been teaching Pilates for 20 years, and specializing in diastasis for 13 of those. I have seen hundreds of bodies firsthand and worked with those bodies to see what actually moves the needle for DR.

I am constantly learning, evolving, growing and experimenting with core rehab. We used to be too fear mongering with lists of safe and unsafe moves. Recently the pendulum has swung to "do it all, work harder".

A pelvic physiotherapist recently asked me my opinion on this. She attended the Belle teacher training I hosted this week in Dublin.

My answer?

Yes, load harder and earlier but make sure your clients know how to create and maintain tension in their linea alba before getting back to Pilates hundreds and Russian twists.
We still have to start with the foundations: breath, rib cage mobility, pelvic floor and diaphragm function. How long it takes to get those foundations will vary person to person - but that is the way!

You're not broken. Find yourself a good teacher and get the support you deserve ❤️

Comment PUSHPREP for the free birth prep workshop Comment PUSHPREP for the free birth prep workshop + a list of questions for your care provider 💛

I’m writing this from Ireland after finishing an intensive Belle Method teacher training, and one theme kept coming up in conversations with the incredible midwives, doulas, and movement professionals in the room:

We simply do not have enough people entering birth feeling truly prepared.

The stories they hear every day reminded me why I created Push Prep in the first place. We can do better. Better education. Better preparation. Better support. Because when women understand their options, know how to work with their bodies, and feel empowered going into labour, we have the potential to reduce fear, trauma, and unnecessary interventions.

This carousel is filled with testimonials from women who have experienced many different kinds of births. There is no one “perfect” birth story—but preparation matters.

Our next live online 8 week Push Prep series begins Tuesday, July 7 at 8 PM ET. Recordings are included, so you can join from any time zone or location in the world.

You deserve to head into birth feeling informed, supported, and ready. 🤍

COMMENT PLAN and I'll send you my free postnatal r COMMENT PLAN and I'll send you my free postnatal recovery plan, including 5 core and pelvic floor follow along workouts plus a postnatal workshop. ✨

One of the biggest myths about diastasis recti is that if you didn't address it in early postpartum, you've missed your chance.

Not true.
Your body is always adapting.

Whether your baby is 6 months old, 6 years old, or 16 years old, it's possible to improve core function, rebuild strength, and create better tension through the abdominal wall.

The goal is a core that feels stronger, more supportive, and works better in everyday life. The goal is confidence 🔥

Save this exercise and comment PLAN below for your free recovery resources.

The next live online class session of Core Restore starts July 7!
Join from anywhere, get support and accountability.

One of the biggest things we've gotten wrong about One of the biggest things we've gotten wrong about birth? How we teach women to push.

❌"Push like you're pooping"
❌"Tuck your chin, hold your breath, and count to 10"
❌"Curl up as hard as you can and look at your belly"

Your pelvic floor isn't a door you force open. It's a group of muscles that need to lengthen, soften, and coordinate with your breath to create space for your baby.

We need to learn how to use our diaphragm. To open to door. To yield.

Nobody taught me this when I was pregnant.

In fact, most women are never taught how their pelvic floor works, how to coordinate it with their breath, or how to prepare it for one of the biggest athletic events of their lives.
So we end up heading into labour hoping for the best.
I don't want that for you.
That's why I created a free prenatal workshop where I'll teach you:
✨ How to prepare your pelvic floor for birth
✨ Why "pushing harder" isn't always the answer
✨ Breathing strategies to support labour and delivery
✨ Practical tools you can start using right away

Even if you never become my Push Prep student, you'll walk away with knowledge and techniques that can help support your best possible birth experience.

Because every woman deserves access to this information before labour begins.

Here's to saving the pelvic floors, one mom at a time. 💛

Comment PUSH PREP and I'll send you the free workshop.

Nikki
