All you need is a towel for a glider and a booty b All you need is a towel for a glider and a booty band to replicate a challenging reformer pilates style workout.

I'm in Kaplankaya, Turkey right now at the @sixsenseskaplankaya teaching at @harvestseries. It has been incredible so far to meet speakers and practitioners and guests from all over the world ✨ So honoured to be part of this!

Save this routine for anytime you have minimal equipment but want a challenging workout. All are pregnancy safe except the final number 6.

I'll keep the reformer dupe workouts coming due to popular request 😆

Last week I shared I am working hard at age 43 to Last week I shared I am working hard at age 43 to build muscle mass in preparation for menopause. Because more muscle makes the transition easier. I figure I've got about 10 years of cycles left.

(The age of menopause is hereditary - have you asked your mom when she had her last period? Here's to more conversations like this among women!)

SOOOO many people responded to my story asking why more having more muscle mass makes menopause easier. So that inspired this post!

And I really do want to know if you have had these kinds of conversations with your female relatives. Let's talk about it. 👇

The foam roller is a game changer for back pain - The foam roller is a game changer for back pain - but it can help your pelvic floor function too!

Postural alignment can help us better manage the internal pressure inside our body. If we are rounded and hunched forwards all the time, this can restrict our diaphragm mobility and essentially cause constant downward pressure on the low lying pelvic organs (bladder, uterus, rectum).

So instead of doing isolated Kegel exercise exercises, try these Pilates movements that train your posture muscles while activating the pelvic floor.

You can improve leaking and prolapse. Been there myself.
It's all in the 12-Week Core Restore Course. And it is never too late to start. ✨

This video was taken exactly 5 years ago. And even This video was taken exactly 5 years ago. And even now, 5 years after my youngest was born, it makes me catch my breath. It's a reminder. 🔥

To the newly pregnant women here - you are so much stronger than you know. May you come to discover your inner power, and may you feel supported, respected and truly empowered in your birth, no matter what happens.

And to the moms here whose birth experiences didn't go as hoped - you're the definition of strength and resilience. Healing mentally and physically from your own birth while caring for your babies is next level badassery and we don't say that enough.

This is why I'm so passionate about teaching the Push Prep Course (May/June classes start tomorrow!). Because birth matters.

You're all badasses and I love you.

Do you want well-rounded strength, injury, prevent Do you want well-rounded strength, injury, prevention plus better pelvic floor health and core connection?

Lifting heavy weights is awesome, but not at the expense of your pelvic floor. We need to stop this notion that leaking when you lift is a sign of being hard-core. The strategy needs to change.

Pilates & Weight training is the magic combo. And that's what our Booty Challenge (currently available!) and Living Room Lift program (coming this summer!) is all about.

1️⃣ FEWER INJURIES
Pilates builds deep core strength, not just your abs, but your entire unit : pelvic floor, TVA, diaphragm and multifidus (low back stabilizers). When your core is truly active, your lifts become safer, more powerful, and more controlled.

2️⃣ MOBILITY MEETS STABILITY
Pilates build the control and mobility that helps you move through full range of motion with better alignment. The result? Better form and more balanced strength is built across your whole body.

3️⃣ PELVIC FLOOR SUPPORT
Pilates teaches you how to breathe with your movement - a skill that directly supports lifting, especially when it comes to proper intra-abdominal pressure and pelvic floor engagement during lifts.

4️⃣ CONNECTIVE TISSUE & JOINT HEALTH
Where lifting taxes your joints, Pilates strengthens the smaller stabilizer muscles and connective tissue that keeps your body resilient. It's a powerful way to prevent overuse injuries and support longevity when lifting heavier.

5️⃣ NEUROMUSCULAR CONNECTION
Nothing sharpens your awareness of form, posture, or muscle engagement better than Pilates. This precision carries over into your lifting technique and makes every rep more efficient. ✨

The bottom line is that Pilates doesn't replace lifting, it elevates it. Just like weightlifting will never replace Pilates. When combined you are building functional strength that is powerful, balanced, and injury resistant. 😍💪

2020 was a time. I had to pivot my whole business 2020 was a time. I had to pivot my whole business after teaching in person for decades. 8 studios closed. Out of desperation, I started Zoom classes at 32 weeks pregnant as we entered a lockdown in Toronto.

We were all so isolated. But we found support from each other online. Those of us who were pregnant in the pandemic were filled with fear and uncertainty - worried about our unborn babies, and trying to stay brave for our families.

And while it was an absolutely crazy time, I am grateful for the nudge it gave me to take my teaching online in order to help more women all around the world, beyond my local city.

The rest is history ❤️ Push Prep is so much more than zoom classes now; we have evolved and grown so much in the last 5 years. But the root of it remains - supporting YOU in having your best possible birth, answering your questions, and holding your hand so you feel less alone through it all.

Our Mother's Day Sale is live now for waitlisters. We only do 2 sales a year. There's never been a better time to start. Comment EARLYBIRD for the 20% off plus free bonus gift.

It is my deepest honour to support you.
