Beatrix Nagy is passionate about fitness through the mindful movement of Pilates. She studied ballet with Bella Kovarsky at Bayview School of Ballet in Toronto, and Hungarian folk dancing as a child and adolescent.
After her degrees in Social Work from McGill and her MBA from Seton Hall, Beatrix worked in the training department at Dendrite International, then for a hedge fund in New York City. For over 20 years, she has been teaching group fitness classes.
In 2013, Beatrix received her Stott Pilates mat certification and has sought to share her knowledge of Pilates ever since. Three years later, she received both her level 1 and level 2, Stretch-to-Win Fascial Stretch Therapy certifications.
She has her Stott Barre certifications and will take on barrels in May 2019. She believes everyone should be moving daily, pain free. Today, Beatrix is the mother of three children (15,12 and 10) and some of her happiest moments are when her 15 year old says “can we do a Pilates workout together?” Her husband Kal can be spotted at her classes and he is her favourite student. Beatrix takes her Pilates principles to the tennis courts and plays for the High Park Inter-county tennis team in the summer with her husband and eldest daughter.
